ELECTRIC CASTLE
One of the most beloved annual music events in Romania, Electric Castle is a unique and authentic 5-day experience that takes place every year at Bánffy Castle in Bontida - a small historical village near the city of Cluj Napoca in Transylvania.
With stunning sights and amazing surroundings, the old Banffy Castle is the Electric Castle house. For the first time, the castle opened its doors to the public during the 5th edition of the festival, hosting a series of exhibitions and interactive art installations.
By blending the arts and technology with an eclectic musical line, a unique architectural concept and the stunning landscape of the amazing medieval castle, the festival redefines how people interact with a music festival, breaking the boundaries between electronic and reggae music, mainstream and subculture.
The success of the festival brought him four European Festival Awards nominations, in the category Best Medium Sized Festival, reaching every time the final, among the first 10 similar events in Europe.
