The Transilvania Film Festival Association (AFFT)
The Transilvania Film Festival Association (AFFT) was founded in 2015 and aims to support young filmmakers and promote Romanian and European cinema among filmmakers and audiences. The main objective is to organize, annually, in good conditions, the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF).
The association has undertaken important missions to promote Romanian and European cinematographic works, as well as to educate the public and professionals in the film industry. Through its activities in various cities and communities in the country, the Transilvania Film Festival Association involves a wide audience, and has a significant impact culturally, socially and economically. The association is involved in organizing large-scale cultural projects with an impact on as many and varied communities as possible. In five years of activity, the Transilvania Film Festival Association has attracted hundreds of thousands of spectators to its events and has contributed to the promotion of Romanian and European film among the local public.
AFFT activities include the organization of film festivals; organizing seminars and conferences on creative and production issues for young artists interested in film, audiovisual and media; training and educating a new generation of cinema spectators; training at European standards of Romanian professionals in the film industry.
Among the main activities of the association are the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) - the largest film event in Romania, TIFF Sibiu, TIFF Oradea, TIFF Film Caravan, EducaTIFF, Transilvania Talent Lab.
